Yearly Recap and Goals for Next Year

Reflecting on 2022: A Year in Review

2022 is now a time of the past and it’s time to see how it went.

I’m a big fan of new years assessment of how the year has turned out.

Whether it has been full of steps toward your personal and professional goals,

and of course, seeing where there is room for improvement.

Were the 2022 goals met?

  • Invest 100.000 dkk  (13446 €)                                 Managed 101.355 dkk (13.601 €)
  • Average savings rate over 60 %                             Unable to track due to company. Roughly 40-55%
  • 30.000 dkk per. month from the company          30.000 dkk (4033€) pr month reached. Steady income!
  • Blog stats: 30.000 visitors and 35.000 sessions   18.606 users and 21.897 sessions.
  • 2 posts on Thriving Willow per. month                  Nope
  • Read 25 books and 52 books on “Blinkest”.          25 books and 235 Blinkest!!
  • Invest 50.000 dkk  4015 € in the new house         Managed investing about 70.000 dkk (9393€) in the house
  • Meditate 5 min pr. day                                              Haven’t managed to get into this habit yet

2022 has been an eventful year with a move of the tiny house over 200 km, the purchase of a ‘big’ house with a lot of grounds to start a self-sufficient garden in 2023, the start of a new job as part of a steady income stream in my company, and a bigger focus on growing my own portfolio of clients.

The biggest difference in this year has been the move.

We managed to get away from a very negative work environment and surroundings where none of the employees were respected and paid based on their qualifications.

Funny enough in harder situations like the one we’ve been in in the past 2 years you also happen to make the best friends which we are very glad we’ve met and will continue to keep in touch with.

I’m very glad to see that we can make important and big decisions when it’s needed and we don’t end up stuck in an environment that is heavily impacted by negativity and wrongdoings from a leadership perspective.

Already after six months in the new location, we can feel a huge difference in our well-being and peace of mind.

New ideas are flowing and we can see ourselves being here for many years to come!
