Monthly Finance Updates

Monthly Finance Update #9

January, 2020.

We’re making great progress and feel free to take a look at how far we are:  ‘Det Lille Potentiale’

As always showing these financial numbers and progress with full transparency has the goal to give you inspiration and reference to compare and who knows maybe learn something new.

Keeping myself accountable is a bonus and helps me follow the path to financial freedom

  • Tone from Norway travelling around Europe
  • Tibor and Barbora from Slovakia building one of the first Tiny Houses in the country.

I’ve also made an overview of the best Tiny House magazines to read where tons of inspiration, TH stories and helpful guides to building can be found.

Check it out, if you wish!

Investments

2020 investment goals have been written down and I’m looking forward to seeing the progress throughout the year.

The portfolio has increased by 6,3% which is quite lovely. This is due to a few leftover individual stocks that I’m waiting to climb to a higher price before selling and moving over to indexes.

To clarify the 6,3 % covers both the indexes and the individual stock change this month which in time will be a more precise number as I’m moving to 100% into indexes.

As usual index investments were purchased automatically on the 5th with the amount of 2.500 dkk ( 335€ ) reaching a total of 50.972 dkk ( 6821 € ).

This month this amount has come from a savings account as there won’t be any income for the next few months while building the Tiny House.

The savings rate is therefor again 0. Feels kind of odd when it’s normally above 50%! Remembering to think of the bigger picture and money saved when finally living in the Tiny House.

Tiny House Update

Tiny house build is progressing steadily. We are impressed, stressed and excited about what we have achieved and what is to come.

This build is a challenge which we were prepared for but being totally inexperienced, learning so much every day is quite an ‘out of your comfort zone’ process!

Our budget goal for building the Tiny House is 150.000 dkk (20.070 €).

And is slowing being spent as we build. We’re at 76.000 dkk (10.030 €) spent at the moment. It’s crazy spending this much of money in a short amount of time. But all it takes it a look at the house to remember it’s going to be all worth it!

Updates on the build from start to finish will be shared on the Facebook page.

Focus next month

Still, full-time work on the Tiny House build as we need to make it livable in the next 2 months. So exciting!

I’m planning on making an overview of Tiny House books to read if want to start your Tiny House journey. Soon to come!

See how it is coming along :
