What has happened this month?

My job, teaching in outdoors, at a school has still been shut down and closed all of this month and hopefully opening in two weeks in the middle of March. This has had a big influence on my monthly income this month. Which is a shame and unlucky. Not much you can do.

On the other hand more time for focusing on the new company and learning as much as possible. This could really be the top income for me in the near future. Flexible hours, pay based on results rather than hours and hopefully a job where Corona hasn’t got a huge impact. Our lifestyles may have to change a little due to the fact that Corona now is amongst us. Luckily this new job is still interesting and capable of managing during a lockdown.

We paid our electric bill which was from August to February which so you know included all electricity and heating for the house resulting in a whopping 1922 DKK / 258 € . That’s a pretty good price for six months of electricity PLUS heating, I think!

Investments

A little drop in the market this month which is means a decrease in portfolio value. A cheaper price for buying in on the index this month so totally fine actually. This month’s extra amount comes from savings and still moving around money in the accounts.
Plus this month was also the yearly dividend payout from the indexes which ended up being 3650 dkk / 490 € after tax. Of course, I’ve chosen to put it all straight back into the indexes as fast as possible to get the full value of the magic behind compound interest.

Tiny House progress

The water tank is now unfrozen which it has been for the last month which means fresh rainwater in the taps again. In about a week we went from -5 to+10° which is a big change. We also had our first day where the house was solely heated up by sunlight which is pretty crazy since it’s was at the end of February.

Next month we may give the first treating of the outer layer of wood this year which will be good as we are in a high humidity area which can be seen slightly on the wood, unfortunately. Should have given more last year 😀

  • Updates on the tiny house build from start to finish will be shared on the Facebook page.
