What has happened this month?

December had quite a hectic start of the month because of work. And finishing off by being quite pleasurable with Christmas and New Years with only the closest family of course due to the pandemic.

My online company is getting along quite nicely. Getting all of the foundations and the logistics in place so that I can start properly in January.

Quite excited about it now having bought new work computer to optimize the output and increase effectivity.

Investment with better results in the future in mind. Definitely going to help considering it otherwise was my old 2013 Mac Air!

Investments

Investments have stayed pretty much at the same value.
I’ve managed to have a great savings rate of 69%, Love it! Plus I’ll be adding over 9000 extra (on top) so the total amount invested is 20,000 for this month.
I am in the process of relocating money in different bank accounts and now really would like to invest in this one global index.

Keep it simple and automatic! I’m really focusing on working this into every part of my life. This makes consistency many times easier. And has had great effect on 2020 as you’ll see soon.

As it’s just been New Year I’ll be doing a recap of 2020 and setting goals for 2021, which is always interesting to see how things have gone and what I should strive to achieve next year.

Tiny House Update

Tiny House is proving to work out just great. A small house is easy to heat up. But also means cools down fast. Temperature volatility in our house is bigger than a traditional house but overall costs are much less to heat it up.

January is going to be interesting as we’ll the looking for someone to help us install the fireplace which will replace the electric radiator we currently are using.

I’ll be treating the outer wood of the entrance today making sure it doesn’t take any damage from the moist winter weather this time of year. Hoping the colour will be close to the rest of the house.

Off-grid system of using rainwater in the taps is working out great with our 12V water pump. Amazing!

  • Updates on the tiny house build from start to finish will be shared on the Facebook page.
